Couple weekends ago I went to Incheon, just to stay in a different city for a weekend, go to the beach, and eat some delicious fresh seafood.
Incheon has a very different vibe from Seoul. I was out on the street at 10:30 on Saturday night on a 8 lane center street and there were two cars. TWO! In Seoul on a Saturday night it takes you 20mins just to flag down a taxi because the traffic is so thick.
It is a very calm city and a much more relaxed feel to it. Because it is close to the ocean/harbor it does not have that strong suffocating air. You can breath a little easier out there.
In the city, everything is new. All the streets are lined with freshly planted trees, all the buildings still have a newly built shine to them and things are just a bit more cutting edge. Because there is water surrounding and flowing into the city, there are many bridges and they are all very cool designs. No boring bridges at all.
It is close to the airport and close to beaches.
It is recommended as a nice alternate city getaway from Seoul.
