These are the bright orange dunes in Mui Ne. They are in an interesting location because they are right on a main road so sand was all over the road when we arrived.
We pulled up in an old military jeep and there were instantly a dozen kids running up to the still moving jeep with thin plastic sled sleds to ride the dunes. Finally our guide said something that drove the kids off for a while.
It was a pretty cool sight, large dunes surrounded by a thin forest on the back side and the bay off in the distance.
I admit the first picture was definitely on purpose. I hiked up this remote dune then took the long way around to try and capture my own trail, and it worked perfectly.
Then I just had some fun in the sand. Getting a cool tall shadow picture and silly jump or two in.
Just visible in the last picture in the bay where we
visited earlier with an old fishing village.
