I work a 5 day work week, but this Sunday we had Sports Day. We all met at about 9am in a park right by the Han River 한강. There is about 100 students in the morning program at Wonderland now and maybe 80 showed up with parents and siblings to play games in the sun. The students would play a variety of relay races, then the best part of the day is when the parents would attempt the same games. A simple sprint was one the the best. After teaching the kids for almost 10 months now I realize how competitive the kids are but the parents are exactly the same. Seeing all the moms line up 4 at a time to compete in a nice 50yard dash was hilarious. And the dads, perfect. Just try and imagine mostly mid 30's to mid 40's business men running full tilt, and occasionally wiping out on the grass. It is not very often they get to exercise their sprinting skills in the offices of Samsung Tower or the World Trade Buildings.
Everyone got a nice tan, interacted with the parents in a non-stressful environment, and had some laughs.
