Cheongpung Lake |
Spring time in Seoul is beautiful. Cherry blossoms line the streets. The
mountain sides return to their natural green color and people just seem
more happy. Now is the time if year that can help remind us why we are
living in South Korea. The weather is amazing, perfect temperatures with
a gentle breeze.

Blossoms at a park |
The most popular things to do this time of year are go to cherry blossom
festivals and start day drinking outside convenient stores.
I know these are two extremely opposite things but they are both equally appreciated by natives and some foreigners.
This past week I traveled to Cheongpung Lake, near central South Korea.
There is a cherry blossom festival there at a large lake and many of the
roads winding around the lake. It was a beautiful sight. And the old
school carnival games were fun. Especially the rock-paper-sissors game.

Cherry class field trip |
Around the city, now that its warm during the day and a comfortable cool
in the evenings, many restaurants, bars and convenient stores open
their doors and let the outdoor dining begin. After work its nice to
grab some fried chicken and beers with coworkers.
Talk soon. Im still alive e-mail if you need to get in touch.

How long did it take you to get to Cheongpung from Seoul? My family and I are planning a trip just for the sake of the blossoms!
