Korea Horse Track

In the southern part of the city, on subway line 4 I think there is a very nice horse racing track. It is a very nice facility, very modern and very easy to navigate and place bets. But I guess thats the point right.

It costs a total of $0.75 to get in and maybe a dollar for the magazine with the days races and odds. It is a dry area, no alcohol and also no smoking. It is considered a park so they are very strict about both of these policies. Seems to me, let people drink and they will spend more money. But what do I know.

There is a race every 30mins or ever hour. Maybe 12 races in a day. And there is also about 6-8 races in Jeju Island you can watch and bet on at the same time. And these are timed appropriately during the longer one hour breaks between Seoul races. It is a great way to spend a Saturday or Sunday that is different from most activities you usually get around to doing.  And it can be cheap too. The minimum bet on a race is $0.50 and the maximum $100.00.
Even betting like$20 that day makes it very exciting.

Picture #1 - Thats right we each bet $1,000 on this race...
                      ok ok, just 1,000won
Picture #2 - Grandstand seating along the final stretch.

Picture #3 - Horses coming down the final stretch.

Picture #4 - Go ahead, figure that stuff out and place your bets!
