Saigon Food

Eating in Vietnam is very very cheap. You almost don't have to include food in your trip budget. Maybe $10 a day. Most beers are a dollar and a meal for two including a drink is about $7.

However, if you wanna eat flaming shrimp. You still have to pay. In Saigon we went to this restaurant two times because we were so full after maybe 4 or 5 dishes, we could not fit in anymore food. So the next day we got the rest of the interesting things in the menu. Still a fresh seafood meal for two, 5 dishes, beer. $50.

I have a picture of this fried fish only because of its name. Elephant Ear Fish.

You take the extremely bland fish meat and put it inside a spring roll with sauce. Good taste. Better name.

These are from the first restaurant. We did a lot of "please recommend a dish" or "oooh that looks good ever there" this was one of those moments when I decided I needed to order 2 pounds of shrimp. Almost the same size as small lobsters.

This restaurant was so busy that Sora and I sat next to each other and shared a table with some other people. Interesting to say the least.
